Bezoeken tot Atjeh (A visit to Aceh)

Straits of Malacca..

Last week i spent about 4 days to visit Banda Aceh, Indonesia.. This is my first visit to Aceh and Indonesia as general..Pak Asnawi is the responsible person who brings me here for a first time..We start our journey from Penang early morning (6.00 am) and our first destination is to Kuala Lumpur (LCCT)..A massive construction was still going on at Penang International Airport, and i do think that after it finish, it could receive numbers of international plane to Penang..We are have our breakfast outside the airport (there is a Malay stall) selling local dishes..I ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak and a cup of Teh Tarik and it cost me about RM 6!!!!

Mie Goreng Khas Aceh at Lhoknga, Banda Aceh..Tasty!!

We arrive at LCCT around 9.45 am..and we directly fetch a bus to go to KL Sentral (RM 14 for two ways) and from KL Sentral we take a train to KLCC..Actually Pak Asnawi haven't been to KLCC before, so we spent some time taking photograph around KLCC..It is quite hot nowadays in Malaysia, so we plan to have our lunch early (actually not to early, but we are to hungry!!)..After we arrive at the 2nd floor of Suria KLCC, i realize that my Ringgit notes are running out!!! Damn, it spent to much to change my money into Rupiahs..Fortunately, we still having our lunch there, with only RM 13 remaining..Pak Asnawi buy a bowl of Penang Laksa and a set of chappati..this is the most memorable time with Pak Asnawi where we share our lunch together!!

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Banda Aceh with Hadyll (Pak Asnawi's son)

Right after we having our lunch together, we have to go back to LCCT since our flight from LCCT to Banda Aceh will be around 4 pm..After arrive at LCCT, we perform solat jamak takdim before checking in..This is actually my first international flight experience at LCCT, usually i just take international flight from Penang...There is not much problem with the Immigration or Customs for locals, but for foreign, it takes some times..So i have to wait Pak Asnawi for about 15 min before we could hanging around together again inside the airport..haha..
Arrival at Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport..Tired!!

Inside the bording hall, there is Gummy store where we can try the jelly r gummy beads before buying it..so since Pak Asnawi plans to buy something to his children, we take this chance to taste all the gummy beads and pickle..haha..Flight to Banda Aceh takes about 2 hour and we arrive around 6.00 pm (Indonesian time, delay 1 hour than Malaysia)..As soon as i arrive outside the Sultan Iskandar Muda's International Airport, i can smell strong gassoline odor..(because most Indonesian still use a gassoline stove to cook)..Along the way from airport to Pak Asnawi's house (at Unsyiah campus), i was serve with panoramic view of Paddy field and village environment..

Heading back!!!

Our arrival was welcomed by Pak Asnawi's youngest son, Haniff (2 years old) and Hadyll (11 years old)..Pak Asnawi has a huge family (6 daughters and 2 sons) but only 5 were available at that time (Oya, Muna, Ida, Hadyll, Haniff)...They are so close to me and called me "Om Hazwan"..as a retreat, i buy them ice creams just to make them happy..My short visit covers a visit to Masjid Raya Banda Aceh, Kapal Apung (Tsunami historical site), Lhoknga (enjoying the beach and fried noodle), Unsyiah, Penayung..One thing i would say about their food, the food are real delicious and cheap..but if you want to bargain, the price are the same like in Malaysia..Other experience, i enjoying their Tahlil environment, kenduri etc..4 days for me is not enough and insyaallah i would pay my second visit to Banda Aceh next time...
